We have been moved to open up the doors of our house to “foreign guests” by the passion for our home town, by the love we feel for the countless beauties and surprises that Turin discloses every day. We would like everyone to have the possibility to discover Turin, its squares that look like open air living rooms, its residential royal palaces, its parks framed by the surrounding mountains, its magic daylight. We want everyone to live the spirit of Turin as privileged visitors: from the inside.
At the “Foresteria degli Artisti”, you will see the sky right above your roof, you will look throughout the garrets and you will see the little star shining on top of the “Mole Antonelliana”, the symbol of the city; you will be able to prepare your tourist itineraries with the use of many books available in our bookshelf and you will be carried away while contemplating the contemporary art works of the house. You will be surrounded by the special atmosphere of a city in constant evolution towards the culture of art and hospitality.
For breakfast you will taste biological fresh fruits from our hills and our home-made cakes.
And when you walk out the door...you will “feel” Turin!
We are located in the historical centre, in the very heart of the city, in a neighborhood designed by the famous architect Antonelli which has preserved the atmosphere of the end of the 19th century, with its open-air farmers' markets, its ancient furniture restorers' shops, its old fashion restaurants...and there is even stores where you can still buy today wood for the fire-place!
On top of this charming old fashion atmosphere, you will also be able to find vintage stores and trendy bars and pubs to amuse yourself.
But if you cross the avenue (Corso San Maurizio), Turin will astonish you! Piazza Vittorio, the Monte dei Cappucini Hill, the Gran Madre Church, the Murazzi docks of the river Po, the historical rowing clubs and the Valentino park are out there waiting for you.
And then you will be able to walk along Via Po up to Piazza Castello, Via Roma, the Quadrilatero Romano...everything will be just at hand from your new “home”! |
